His present presence

“my anxiety, my depression, my sickness, my disease, my insert issue” these things were never OURS to carry.
Matthew 14:22-33
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray.
Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
“Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out,
“Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped
And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Peters fear of what was going on around him made him sink, if he had kept his eyes on Jesus he would have stayed standing.
What in your life is making you feel like you’re sinking?
Maybe we’ve taken our eyes off Jesus because things seem so hard to handle go through. But I challenge us all in these times to call out to King Jesus, He will rescue us. His presence is the most important thing in life- His presence there in the storms, His presence HERE NOW in your storms, will you let Him comfort you?

“You of little faith, why did you doubt?” How many times have we doubted.. have we questioned “God do you really have great things in store for me” “God did you really call me to this” “God was I really meant for this” and He is saying YES, this is for YOU- a life of unwavering faith, boldness, complete trust in Him.
When our eyes are fixed on Him instead of the issues at hand, HE can get us through.
So today, let’s come to Jesus with open hands giving Him praise and thanks for all He has done for us and let’s give Him our burdens, let’s give Him our pain, He will gladly take it and exchange it with healing, joy, peace, hope, faith.. and so much more friends.
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
